Wednesday, September 30th, 2009 - Pureste
Founded by a group of Adelaide girlfriends, innovative feminine hygiene brand Pureste is embodying “Girl Power” with Team McGrath on the tracks of V8 Supercar Racing, starting at the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 from 8th October.

The latest vehicle for raising breast awareness will take the form of signature “pinked” cars driven by the only female V8 Supercar driver, Leanne Tander, and three other drivers from Team McGrath, made possible by the support of Pureste.

Pureste – the only sterilised tampon in Australia says the decision to sponsor the initiative was easy.

“We are so pleased to support Team McGrath in their important mission to raise breast awareness and awareness about the invaluable role the McGrath Breast Care Nurses play in providing support for families experiencing breast cancer.

“Our company was born out of a desire to encourage female wellbeing and peace of mind, and to recognise the strength and power of women, so we feel this is a perfect alliance,” Co-founder of Pureste, Adrienne Peele said.

In its transformation from the Wilson Security Racing Team, Team McGrath will sport new Pureste- branded car designs, new helmets, race suits and merchandise, showcased at the official unveiling of Team McGrath in Sydney today.

“Nothing quite says ‘Girl Power’ than high performance pink V8 Supercars driven with passion and determination by a team of committed drivers, including the only female driver in the league,” Adrienne said.

Lone female driver, Leanne Tander, has noticed the increased support of female fans and V8 Supercar members and is proud to be working with Pureste as a driver for Team McGrath.

“Over 40 percent of all V8 Supercar fans are female and I can see the number of females interested in the sport growing through the ranks, both behind the scenes and on the track,” says Leanne.

“I am so pleased to be spreading a message of health and wellness to all these women,” she concluded.

Born in Adelaide, Pureste is the first company in Australia to introduce a range of sterilised feminine hygiene products, providing an invisible difference that offers women a clear choice.

Team McGrath’s first race will be at the Bathurst Supercheap Auto 1000 from October 8 to 10 followed by the Bigpond 500 at Homebush from 4 to 6 December 2009.

Contact Profile

Pureste

Pureste is the first feminine hygiene company throughout Australia to produce 100% sterilised tampons, pads and pantyliners. Using the latest sterilisation technology, the sterilising process is the same that almost all medical equipment undergoes to remove every last tract of bacteria, making their products 100% bacteria free, as well as comfortable and as absorbent.

Pureste is the initiative of a group of girlfriends who embarked on the project when they realised that while sanitised, no tampons available in Australia were sterilised. Their project is driven by a desire to encourage female wellbeing and peace of mind.
