Australia's fastest growing cloud services provider, UberGlobal, wins the inaugural Cloud Leadership award at the Parallels Summit 2012 in Orlando, Florida.
Orlando (USA) – 15 February, 2012
UberGlobal has defined a new partner award category this year and received the inaugural Parallels Cloud Leadership Award at the Parallels Summit 2012 in Orlando, Florida.
Michael McGoogan, CEO of UberGlobal, said, “We are honoured to receive this award, and are very optimistic about our future, given that we’re now operating with a large portfolio of Parallels products. Along with our partnership with Ingram Micro, this has put us in good stead to continue on our path of rapid growth in 2012. We’ve spent the last two years working on a platform to support our SMEs, and are excited to see this investment come to fruition over the next year”.
UberGlobal has demonstrated leadership in the global cloud space though delivering services to over 100,000 organisations. True to its tag line, ‘always ahead’, UberGlobal has launched Australia’s first complete turnkey cloud services platform, providing thousands of resellers with new service opportunities. The company has also launched a range of new Microsoft services, such as Exchange, SharePoint and Hyper-V servers.
"UberGlobal is a great example of what can be achieved with Parallels Automation when a service provider has the appropriate skills and certifications. They have a very sophisticated understanding of the Australian IT services ecosystem and have shown great leadership in the establishment of new reseller channels" says Birger Steen, CEO of Parallels "UberGlobal are also heavily involved in our beta programs for new products, such as Parallels Automation Cloud Infrastructure and now Microsoft Lync. As a highly valued partner of Parallels we are thrilled to present them the inaugural Cloud Leadership Partner Award."
Today's award comes after more than a year of landmark achievements for UberGlobal. In 2011 they placed in the BRW Fast100 for the third consecutive year, placed 14th in the CRN Fast50, launched a Government Community Cloud platform and were referenced in a global alliance between Microsoft and Parallels to establish a Health Community Cloud Automation (HCCA) solution. In November 2011 UberGlobal announced its wholesale partnership to supply and support Ingram Micro's Australian resellers with a broad range of cloud services to take to market.
Evan Williams, Small and Medium Business & Partner Group Director, Microsoft Australia says "UberGlobal is a valuable Microsoft provider, with a long track record of success. Its strong presence in Health, Government, SMB and large enterprise sectors, allows them to provide advice and support for a wide range of Microsoft customers," said Williams. "UberGlobal's recent achievements with hosting solutions, including Hyper-V, Exchange and SharePoint demonstrate the value they provide to their customers, offering savings, productivity and improved collaboration to their customers."
The award was accepted by UberGlobal's CEO, Michael McGoogan, during the keynote session today at the Parallels Summit 2012.
The UberGlobal delegation currently in Orlando is heavily involved in this year's summit. Michael provided local Australian insights to media and analysts during panel discussions yesterday, speaking with authority on the provision of cloud services into the SME market. UberGlobal is also presenting a session for the benefit of the global hosting community on how and why it established a wholesale division to support a new breed of cloud service resellers in the Australian IT ecosystem.
UberGlobal's end customers and resellers benefit greatly from its strong relationships with global IT vendors, such as Microsoft and Parallels, by receiving early entry into beta programs for new products under development. Four of the UberGlobal executive will also be attending the Microsoft Hosting Summit in Seattle this March, to get first hand detail on the latest innovations from Microsoft product teams.
UberGlobal is one of Australia’s most successful and fastest growing cloud services providers, as evidenced by making the BRW Fast100 for three consecutive years. Australian owned, UberGlobal is a complete web technology services company, providing customised domain and web hosting solutions, from the simple and direct to the complex and critical.
