CMI Toyota has taken the first step this leap year to assist Adelaide’s homeless and vulnerable by offering their support to the Hutt Street Centre’s ‘Share Your Pay This Leap Day’ fundraising campaign.

On February 29th CMI Toyota will make a financial donation to the Hutt Street Centre to kick start the campaign which aims to raise $50,000 for Adelaide’s less fortunate.

By doing so, CMI Toyota hopes to encourage other businesses to share their pay this February in an attempt to brighten the lives of 250 South Australian homeless and disadvantage families.

“To some of us, getting up for work in the morning may seem like a chore, but we are privileged. Privileged for having employment, financial stability, the ability to afford groceries and a roof over our head” says CMI Toyota Managing Director, Paul Crawford.

“Share your pay this leap day is a reminder to us of those less fortunate and provides an opportunity to support a worthy, local initiative”, Paul adds.

Share your pay this leap day will help to provide homeless families with emergency assistance. For example $150 will give a family of four breakfast, lunch, dinner, clothing and access to counselling services.

“CMI Toyota has a strong relationship with the Hutt Street Centre having supported previous fund raising initiatives including ‘TouchWine’ and ‘Walk a Mile’” says CMI Toyota Marketing Executive, Shaun Garfitt. “Share you pay this leap day provides yet another exciting and unique opportunity to support the Hutt Street Centre and we’re proud to be associated with this cause” Shaun says.

CMI Toyota is a division of the CMV Group of companies of which operates its own charitable arm known as the CMV Foundation. Since its formation in 1953 by the late Sidney Crawford, the founder of the company, substantial funds have been channelled back into the community with the primary aim to assist less fortunate members.

CMI Toyota is South Australia’s favourite and most awarded Toyota dealership having won numerous awards including multiple coveted Toyota President’s Awards.
