The Chairman of the Angus Knight Group, Ian Neal, has today announced the appointment of Ann King as the new Chief Executive Officer.

Ann King, currently Deputy CEO of the New South Wales Roads and Maritime Services organisation, will take up the position on February 6, 2012. Ann will bring to the Angus Knight Group more than 25 years of public and private sector expertise from executive roles within companies such as Nokia, Vodafone and NIB. Her experience in delivery of government services, combined with her commercial and people focus, will be of huge benefit to the Group overall.

The Australian-owned Angus Knight Group is a major player in the employment and workplace training industry, employing more than 700 people with an annual turnover of $100 million. It is a major provider of the Government’s Job Services Australia (JSA) program, as well as Disability Employment Services (DES), Indigenous Employment Programs (IEP) and Community Development Employment Projects (CDEP) – all under the brand Jobfind Centres Australia. The organisation operates in 132 locations around Australia and has an impressive track record of helping almost half a million people into employment since 1998. In addition to this, the Group’s SumTotal Australia and New Zealand business is the industry leader in enterprise learning and business performance technologies, while the Omni Asia Pacific division designs and develops eLearning solutions for more than 150 major corporate customers across nine countries.

“We welcome Ann to the Angus Knight family and look forward to benefiting from her experience, strategic thinking and results-driven focus to ensure the continued industry leadership of the Group,” Mr. Neal said.

“With Ann’s impressive record leading business development through a customer focus, we look to her expert skills in driving Angus Knight towards further growth and achievement of the vision shared by the Group’s Board and shareholders.”

“The Board would also like to express their gratitude for the efforts and leadership provided in the recent past by Stuart Pauly, who temporarily took on the role of Acting CEO until such time as we were able to identify and appoint a permanent replacement. In addition, we are grateful for the additional support Michael Hughes has provided in managing the Group during this time. Going forward, Stuart will return to a full-time focus as Finance Director, while Michael will remain as the Executive Director of Jobfind Centres Australia.”
