Sydney, NSW/ Shanghai – 9 December 2011 – Frontier Solar Limited (SIM:FSO) a Brisbane-based solar mounting technology company with patented designs for reduced installation times, high wind resistance and tracking, with an established residential and large-scale international client-base today announced the completion of a 1.5MW solar install in China, seven days ahead of schedule.

This is the second large-scale commercial solar project Frontier Solar has delivered for leading energy systems integration company Hongbao Group. The first was a 1.03MW installation.

The Company’s technology brand Frontierac is produced by the subsidiary company based in Shanghai, established in 2005. The company is well positioned to leverage the fast growing commercial and rooftop solar roll-out in the China and India region.

China has gone from a relatively low solar installation rate in 2009 to a solar target of 15GW for 2015, with analysts expecting this to be more like 26GW. China has also introduced a feed-in-tariff.

Frontier Solar is currently in a $6m Initial Public Offering (IPO) by way of a Replacement Prospectus dated 8 November 2011, with the intention of listing on the SIM VSE late January 2012.

Frontier Solar is an expanding and profitable Australian solar mounting technology company that designs and produces the entire spectrum of mounting systems; ranging from rooftop to ground, from fixed installations to solar trackers, from residential to commercial power plants.

Frontier Solar will be the first company to IPO on the new Asian clean tech stock exchange the SIM VSE, based in Australia, and the first cleantech company to launch an IPO since the passing of the Australian Government Clean Energy Future (CEF) package.
