Friday, December 2nd, 2011 - Jumbo Vision International
Local South Australian company Jumbo Vision International has been awarded a contract to supply and install control room furniture for South Australian electricity provider ETSA Utilities. The project is set as a three stage project anticipated to commence mid 2012 and is expected to take six to eight weeks to complete.

Through their unparalleled approach JVI manufactured full scale models of the console designs, giving ETSA Utilities a unique opportunity to manoeuvre the consoles around and try out different layout options.

JVI GM, Lena Kimenkowski said, "It’s incredibly exciting to win this contract. We see ourselves as part of the development process so it’s an endorsement for our methodology, as well as our products.  I believe this means that we will engage with more organisations in both SA and Australia as a whole, for a wider range of industries including water and gas".

"Jumbo Vision is the best company for this project as we have the experience to design, deliver and support these kinds of complex ventures. We understand the issues facing big organizations these days and know that the ‘hot buttons’ can vary between stakeholders within a project group”.

“For example, for the project owner, it may be the price, while for the operators it’s the ergonomic applications. Knowing about and understanding these factors make Jumbo Vision the most suitable company. We are also 100 per cent Australian so we understand the positives as well as the limitations of undertaking big projects in Australia – from working in the different time zones, to the logistics of getting technical components to Australia from anywhere in the world,” she said.

JVI is recognized as a leading manufacturer and designer of technical room solutions, and is working in partnership with Evans Consoles on this project to execute the custom console design jointly developed by all parties for ETSA Utilities.

As one of Australia's unique integrators, JVI specializes in command and control centres, remote operations centres, 2D and 3D virtual reality systems, 2D or 3D dual touch screen table tops, video conferencing and INFITEC Australasia stereoscopic viewing technology.

ETSA Utilities are a major electricity supplier that build, maintain, upgrade and support a network currently delivering power to more than 820,000 customers; they also provide electrical infrastructure project management, construction and maintenance services for businesses and government within South Australia.
