The first of its kind in Australia, Ballarat-based Springhill Farm has created a new gluten-free baking kit for budding bakers and food sensitive kids – just in the knick-of-time for Christmas.

Each pack includes a cute mini apron, four farm animal-shaped cookie cutters, a 300g flour mix and a simple biscuit recipe. The flour mix, the basis for many of Springhill Farm’s much-loved products, is free from wheat, gluten, dairy, egg, nut and soy making it the perfect gift for any pint-sized youngster with unique dietary requirements.

The kit has been tried and tested by the Springhill Farm baking team, for its effect, taste and versatility. Not only will this mixture produce delicious biscuits but it can also be used to make anything from pancakes to bread and even pizza bases!

“We made it our mission ten years ago to create sweet treats that everyone – with or without intolerance - could enjoy. With a growing need for tasty alternatives for children with an increasing instance of dietary intolerance, we had to come up with a solution! Plus, as parents, we know just how important it is for kids, especially those affected by Coeliac disease or the like, to have fun and learn in the kitchen,” says Fiona Whatley, co-owner Springhill Farm.
