Thursday, August 6th, 2009 - ElectraNet
In May 2009 ElectraNet signed a Transmission Connection Agreement (TCA) for the 132MW North Brown Hill wind farm. The wind farm will consist of 63 turbines connected to ElectraNet’s Mokota to Davenport 275kV transmission line in the mid north.

ElectraNet will build a new substation called Belalie to connect this project. The substation has been identified as a potential nodal site and as such a future expansion design was incorporated in the design criteria.

Energisation is scheduled for August 2010. To meet the energisation date ElectraNet are staging the design and development approval process for the bench design and the full detail design, this will allow an early start of the civil works.
