Lambro Skropidis of Samsung Electronics Australia will be put in the hot seat to be interrogated by the audience in an interactive Q&A at the Publishers Australia Magazine Week conference on Friday 11th November.

The session, called ‘PUBLISHERS, ‘MARKETERS AND MEDIA BUYERS ON THE COUCH’ will also feature Nick Chan, Chairman of the MPA and CEO of Pacific Magazines; Simon Davis, Head of Publishing at brand agency OMD and Publishers Australia's own Chairman Geoff Hird. The event will be moderated by Tim Burrowes of mUmbrella.

Hird commented, "This is a rare opportunity for anyone involved in magazine publishing and the broader media environment, not just to hear so many experts together in one place at one time, but also to put questions to them and get practical answers."

Elsewhere at the Conference, Amanda Connors, Priceline's Marketing Director and Mark McCraith, Chief Operations Manager at Maxus, will help publishers to understand the needs of advertisers, in a session called ADVERTISING WORKS. The panel will outline some common mistakes to avoid and give tips on building long-lasting relationships.

McCraith stressed that publishers must learn to engage in a true dialogue with agencies and advertisers and not just impose their requirements. “Magazine publishers need to understand their role in this fragmented media market and how they fit in,” he observed.
