SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Weather Underground, the world's first online weather service, announced today the availability of the company's Australian radar features. Web users can now access a range of interactive maps on wunderground.com that display animated radar data from the Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology.

These new radar maps allow Australian users to closely track the paths of storms, monitor the severity and intensity of different systems and even track potential tornadoes and hail storms. Located in the Maps and Radar section of the site, capabilities of this new service include animation, smoothing and zooming. Data is continuously updated every ten minutes and users can select single-site radar station maps or view radar across the country on the world's most interactive weather map, WunderMap®.

"The launch of Australian radar data on wunderground.com is a reflection of our commitment to providing the most comprehensive and reliable weather information across the globe," said Alan Steremberg, President of Weather Underground. "Radar is just one of our many products that will appeal to users in Australia -- we even provide hourly forecasts for all ICC cricket matches!"
