The proposal for collaboration between Microskin International and the Royal Children’s Hospital Burns Research Group and University of Queensland Dept of Psychiatry with Prof Roy Kimble at Royal Children’s Hospital Burns Research Group has commenced.

Ethics approval has been requested from Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Hobart, Darwin, and Auckland Hospitals. These approvals are expected within weeks, resulting in the the first multi centre studies in Burns in Australasia. Microskin is currently in discussions with a major corporation for a licence in United Kingdom.

These discussions are proceeding very positively and Microskin should be able to release further details soon. The Company is also in discussion with a quasi government bodies in UK for wide ranging alliances that may incorporate research and development, product trials, manufacturing, distribution and funding components. It is expected that a clinic to be opened in early 2010 will form part of the collaboration.

After delays caused by the potential franchisee in America, Microskin expects to sign an agreement for New York region within the next 2 months. Company representatives will be travelling to United States of America in the next month to meet potential franchisees for the US west coast and to negotiate terms for these distribution arrangements.

The Queensland Trade office in Los Angeles is assisting the Company with introductions to potential franchisees. After further discussions with parties interested in the Taiwan territory Microskin is confident their first Asian clinic will be established there.
