Tuesday, August 9th, 2011 - Biological Farmers of Australia
Gary Zimmer, possibly the most renowned and respected biological farmer and educator worldwide, will be presenting in six regional locations in six different Australian states with the Biological Farmers of Australia Roadshow in October this year.

Recently interviewed by reporter Tim Lee in a two-part ABC Landline story, Gary Zimmer was described as ‘a world leading exponent and educator on biological farming.’

Talking on Landline about the impact of biological farming methods, Zimmer said, ‘...we've seen 50 per cent increases in yields on a lot of our crops in the United States and we… get it with a lot less input...’

Discussing what ‘biological farming’ actually means Zimmer said, ‘...to me it's focusing on the fact that the soil is alive, it's full of biology and it's a living system.’

With the current boom in biological farming, the roadshows are a great and inexpensive opportunity for all those working in the agricultural industries to learn more about biological production methods and hear a world renowned expert share his knowledge.

The 2011 BFA Roadshows will be held in October in Mullumbimby NSW (Tues 4/10), Stanthorpe Qld (Wed 5/10), Labertouche Vic (Sat 8/10), Hobart Tas (Mon 10/10), Strathalbyn SA (Wed 12/10) and Perth WA (Fri 14/10).
