Screenwise has limited places available in August on their specialised course designed for actors, corporates and creatives pursuing a career in presenting. The course 'Presenting 1 & 2 For Camera' is to be tutored by actress and presenter extraordinaire Di Smith (Great Outdoors) at Screenwise's Studios in Sydney on Wednesday evenings starting on 3rd August 2011.

Since graduating from NIDA Di has had a busy and varied acting career working with major state companies as well as many commercial productions. Di is also a much sought after professional speaker with Claxton Speakers International.

The course 'Presenting 1 & 2 For Camera' is divided into two terms with a one week break between Stages 1 & 2.

Stage 1: Introduction to Presenting:
The students will be introduced to and develop the Presenter's Necessary Skills, for example; short term memory, acting as reacting, circle of concentration, one to one communication, doing it for the cameraman, and walking and talking.

Stage 2: Refining and Specialising:
The students will concentrate on refining and specialising in one particular presenting style chosen by them from Stage 1. They will write and produce their own studio presented segments. Students will be given the file/footage of their segments to be used for showreel purposes. (Students can have their segments professionally edited by the Screenwise tutor for an additional fee).

When: Wednesday Evenings, 6.30pm to 9.30pm.
Location: Screenwise Studios, 84 - 86 Mary Street, Surry Hills, Sydney, NSW
Commences: 3rd August
Concludes: 26th October (1 week break between Stage 1 & 2)
