Tuesday, July 19th, 2011 - ACPE- Australian College of Physical Education
The recently released results from the 2010 Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) for Australian universities, showed that ACPE graduates were 18% more satisfied with their course experience than the national average.

ACPE scored extremely positive results across the board and was substantially higher than the national average in 5 out of the 6 scales which include: Generic Skills, Good Teaching, Graduate Qualities, Intellectual Motivation, Learning Resources and an Overall Satisfaction rating. ACPE also had marked improvements when compared to its performance in the 2009 questionnaire, with an average increase of 17% across the board.

Associate Dean (Programs and Quality), Dr David Baxter stated "The CEQ results for 2010 represent a striking endorsement of the new courses introduced from 2005/6 in teacher education, business and coaching. Graduates have recognised that the courses are relevant, practical and targeted at employment in the various disciplines."

The Course Experience Questionnaire (CEQ) gathers data about graduate’s perceptions of their higher education experience. The CEQ originated in the early 1980s and there is now over 20 years of research evidence which supports the theoretical and empirical basis of the questionnaire.

The CEQ is part of the Australian Graduate Survey which also incorporates the Graduate Destinations Survey and is used by Graduate Careers Australia (GCA) to gather information from graduates of all Australian universities. GCA is made up of senior representatives from Universities Australia, DEEWR, The Australian Association for Graduate Employers and the National Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services, who then use the data collected to help inform the government for future planning in the higher education sector.
